VIDEO MAKING
Dress in a Mess (2020)
captivating short film that delves into the complex relationship between the wearer and the dress. The box-like shape of the garment, measuring 1.5MT, amplifies the feeling of being caged. Filmed by Lilia Strojek and edited by Oh Imanuela, this film is a collaborative effort with Ronni Winkler, Itiya Stawki, and Eva Maria Yakubov. Influenced by Chantal Akerman – Saute ma ville, 1968.

The Blessing and The Curse (2021)
I experimented with the distortion of figurative shapes into abstract ones; the manipulation seems to make the shapes have different capabilities as they would have had originally.
By projecting light on the preformer I’ve manipulated shadows, thus referencing power relations. Painting the performer’s body , created a shapeless figure, using strong colours and the changing shapes might resemble ones’ constant changing emotions, feeling. I relate it to my interest in Eros and Thanatos, as the two basic tensions of being a being. The title of the film depicts my conflict within of the agency and burden of my experience of holding a gun
“which I did not need and did not want”.
